It had been a while since his last affair. Last time, he had moved away from the stereotypical affair with the secretary and gone for a colleague instead. She was a manager in the company. They had met during his promotion party lunch that he had thrown for the rest of the employees in the office at the Hilton Hotel. They talked through the lunch and just, ended up taking the lift to the hotel rooms upstairs for dessert.
The fling had lasted almost a year. The longest he had ever had! But as time wore on, the demands about leaving his wife for ‘the other woman’ started becoming too much to bear. In fact, things had ended pretty badly between them. Last time he took Shraddha to one of the office parties, he was scared out of his wits when they had run into her. He hoped against hope that Shraddha hadn’t given much thought to that incident. But with someone like Shraddha, you could never really tell. He had been extra-attentive towards his better in the days following the office party, but something told him that it would only make things more obvious. Hence he went back to the way things were.
He was now seated in his office, trying to decide on whether or not, he should ask his secretary to stay back late after work tonight.
What should he decide? Should he turn a new leaf?
