He had never expected this, but her answer makes him want to believe in the concept of soulmates and love at first sight, and maybe something where it is all rolled into one! Her favorite book turns out to be this quaint book that until recently, he thought no one but him had given so much as a second glance – Flowers for Algernon. The book tells the tale of a mentally disabled man, Charlie Gordon, who becomes a subject of a scientific test to increase a person’s IQ. The book is presented as a series of entries by this person that helps the reader catch a glimpse of the gradient of Charlie’s varying IQ.
As they discuss the various ethical and moral aspects of the story, Hari finds himself falling for the beautiful girl before him. She was more than just her money and her looks; she was beautiful on the inside!
